As I have an R8 and an apo elmarit, but not the DMR BACK, COULD I USE THE APO ELMARIT ON A CANON 5D MARK II WITH A NOVOFLEX ADAPTOR AND GET SIMILAR SHARP RESULTS?

IF NOT DO YOU KNOW OF ANY DMR SELLERS?

  Thanks for visiting the blog.
  I also shoot a 5D (not MKII) and have used my Leica R glass on the Canon body.
  It’s very difficult to focus – compared to the R8.
  The Live View on the MKII would help some in that regard; though would also present other unique shooting issues.
  
  Part of the “sharpness” of the DMR comes from its CCD sensor and lack of AA filtering.
  In my opinion and experience Cmos sensors with heavy AA filters do not resolve fine detail in the same way.
  
  With all that said I’m quite sure the MKII and Apo Macro Elmarit would provide fine results;
  if you can put up with the darker view finder focusing issues.
  
  DMR backs to occasionally come up for sale.
