The self imposed challenge (spurred on by Sonny Carter and Ric Carter and other LUG members) to consider photographing “flowers” each and every friday continues. Walking about my little plot of ground I expect to find some interesting, dried remnant of what was once a “flower.” It’s drab. Overcast. Gray – though an unseasonably warm 47 degrees F. Quite suddenly my eye catches this bit of unexpected life; apparently tricked into thinking “spring.” Normally the first week of January would have this few square inches of ground buried under a foot or more of snow. While not a flower it seems to have flower-like qualities.
