Driving from Mequon, WI, on the shores of Lake Michigan to Peppin, WI, on the shores of the Mississippi River, to photograph master blacksmith, Tom Latané; I found many beautifully tragic scenes of the mighty river reclaiming land that people thought belonged to them.
